What Is DUHRF?

The Dutch Uyghur Human Rights Foundation is an NGO founded by Uyghur activists based in the Netherlands. Our mission is to promote human rights and freedom for the Uyghurs and other Turkic people in the Uyghur homeland, the so-called Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous Region of China since 1955, we will also work on raising public awareness on the human rights violations happening in the Uyghur homeland through academic research publications and reports,  and public campaigns concentrating on the Netherlands, other EU member states, and the UN human rights mechanism. We believe that the legitimate goals set above can be achieved through the peaceful and democratic approach provided by the framework that define the universally recognised standards as laid down in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
